Nomination for the  Bill Barber Award for Showmanship

Recognizing performer excellence since 1986

Use this form to nominate an airshow performer for the prestigious Bill Barber Award.  You may nominate only one performer. The recipient will be chosen from the list of nominees by our distinguished panel. 

CRITERIA

1. The nominee(s) must be civilian individuals or teams, including pilots, drivers, and announcers. Military performers are not considered because of their typically short rotations for airshow activity, and the fact that they are sponsored by the government.

2. The nominee(s) must be involved with airshow entertainment, which includes air acts, ground acts, announcing, and other activities focused on entertaining the public.

3. The award is for Showmanship, which includes the following factors: 

  • Ability and skill

  • Spectator Interest

  • Safety

  • Choreography 

  • Narration 

  • Timing 

  • Special Effects 

  • Professional Conduct 

  • Public Image
