Wings of Victory Air Show Lancaster, OH August 18-19, 2007

Photography and story by Hugh Montgomery

On a weather day that I'm sure the Dayton people fervently hope for each year, the Fairfield County Airport's Wings of Victory Airshow took place in the middle of August. A few puffy white clouds would have made the sky perfect, but that's nit-picking!

Although the Lancaster, Ohio airport is small, the Historical Aircraft Squadron put on what Ed Sullivan would call "a really big shew" for the record attendees. Starting out with the aerobatic guys and gals including Billy Werth, Greg and Michael Aldridge, and Cliff Robinson to the very many warbirds (including a LB-30/B-24 and B-25) to Otto to the A-10 demo and Heritage Flight and the B-2 and KC-135 fly-bys, you got a lot of value for your ten bucks! One not to miss in 2008!
