Thousands of spectators were thrilled as aircraft roared over head during the inaugural Summer Celebration Air Show held over Muskegon Lake on June 26-27. “West Michigan loves special events, and the festival felt this was a way to bring back this popular regional event” festival executive director Joe Austin said. “We are excited to host, and ‘reestablish’ in a sense, this great family event.” Muskegon has not hosted an air show since the Muskegon Air Fair ended in 2007.

  Plans are already underway for the July 2-3, 2011 event which features the U.S. Navy Blue Angels as the headline performers.
