This was 11th airshow in Brantford and the 10th show in a row with perfect airshow weather. The Brantford show had many of the past years favourites, the Canadian Harvard Aerobatic Team, Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, the SkyHawks and the Snowbirds.

A longtime friend of the Brantford show is Dr. Rick Volker. This year he brought his Su26-M back to the show. In past shows he has flown the Russell Groups Spitfire and there was hope of him bringing the Bf109E for this year’s show. But as luck would have it, it was time for the propeller to be inspected.

Making their second appearance at the show was Danny Richer and his T-28 Trojan and Martin Mattes with his Yak-52 and L-29 Delphin. Martin and his Yak can be seen in the new action thriller Resident Evil – Afterlife. The L-29 was flown by West Coast airshow legend John Mrazek. Part of John’s flying career was in the Czechoslovakia airforce flying the same type of L-29 Delphins.

The newcomer to the show came from Nashua, NH. Bringing his Window World MX-2 to the skies over Brantford was Rob Holland. Rob filled the sky with some heart stopping maneuvers and low, low passes over the runway.

Plans are already underway for the 2011 edition of the Brantford airshow.
