From the desert of the Rochester International Airport in Chilli, NY. To the chilly oasis of the Lake Ontario.  The Rochester International Airshow moved there venue 10 miles south to the shores of Lake Ontario. Now in a park like atmosphere where it is more family and people friendly.

With winds coming off the lake made life a little bit chilly, but the acts heated up the skies. The USAF provided two teams from the great state of NC, the A-10 East Coast Demo Team and the F-15 Strike Eagle team. Jim Beasley from PA brought his P-51Frenesi.  But with a bad oil check on the Mustang, it missed the heritage flight. Instead the two jets did a pass over the lake. The US Army opened up the show with the Golden Knight team and later in the show the Red Bull parachute team showed off their small size high speed canopy jumps. With the jumpers just skimming across the top of the beach and one do some para waterskiing. The Navy was not left out of this year festivities celebrating Rochester’s 175th Anniversary bringing in their F-18F Rhino.

There was just all jet noise through the day Tim Weber in his Geico Extra 300 put on a great show as did a near home town gentleman, Rick Volker in his Su26M.

To finish the Saturday events, the Canadian Snowbird made their first Rochester appearance. They showed off many of their trademark maneuvers   and some of their new one for the Canadian Centennial of Flight .
