What a way to celebrate the first weekend of July than other being at 8 Wing CFB Trenton.

With the Saturday, the Memorial Gates were rededicated, activities included Military Bands and the Marching of the Colours. Several flypasts were made, including the Snowbirds with the Centennial Hornet and Hawk One flying on the outer wings. No less than eight Harvards, four Tigermoths, two Chipmunks, VWoC’s Mustang and Corsair and the CC177 Globemaster III making their individual passes.

On the ground, it was a truly Canadian Military Display with nearly every type of aircraft in the CF inventory on hand. Plus, there was aircraft from our past including CWH Lancaster, Finch, Yale and C-47 and VWoC’s Spitfire. Many of the trades on the base had display inside one the hangars as well as groups of interest.
